Archaeology: Digging for the Facts

Unravel the mysteries of an archaeological dig with this engaging Adventure Kit, full of hands-on activities
and exciting discoveries! With this kit, your child will learn about the steps in an archaeological investigation, the tools
that archaeologist use and apply what they learn in a mock dig. This kit includes everything needed to complete all activities
(aside from common household items) including student activity book, historic and prehistoric artifacts, time capsule, student
tool kit, as well as resources for further exploration.
This kit goes beyond the “dig the artifact out of the
plaster” kits found commercially. It explains in detail steps how, what and why archaeologist do what they do. It was
developed by a professional archaeologist who believes that the key to preserving our historic resources not only lies in
archaeological research, but in the education of our children, our future.
This kit is recommended for children 6-12
years old.
